Print devices

Here all the printers installed at the client’s place are seen. The devices can be laser printers, MFD or even digital copiers. Along with the devices are listed the IP address, Serial No., Location, Cartridge models with the current levels, Machine page count and the Ave pages remaining in the cartridge. In the case of compatible cartridge brands the model numbers can be replaced with the brand's own model number.

TCO Total Cost of Ownership

This is where the monthly cost of printing is ascertained. On similar lines of utility / telecom bills, invoices can be generated with present count minus previous count into rate per page to get monthly cost. These details can be exported into a MS Excel file to be used in your accounting packages to generate invoices. A custom TCO feature will allow for billing to be done with a selectable start and end date.

Service

This is a very important link that is used to ascertain the health of the devices. All collected alerts and errors are archived and presented here. Here the service history of very installed device can be maintained and viewed. There is also a preventive maintenance scheduling email template that can be used to schedule maintenance.

In the client login they can place a service request for any installed device that will be forwarded to service provider by mail as well as SMS. The systems will automatically generate a trouble ticket. Resolution of the ticket is stored in archive for future reference.

Error

The errors that occur along with page count of occurrence in the installed devices are continuously collected and presented. The reducing gap between the pages of occurrence of errors and alerts will indicate and warn of device failure before it occurs. Display panel messages based on the level of devices support are also collected. In case of HP we have collected and created a database of config page error codes with their meanings. As a continuous process we are adding other brands errors also to the database.

Statistics

Most companies do not know exact details on cost involved in printing in their premises. To cut cost you first need to know and measure present cost. This is where the Statistics feature of Printabz will be of great help.

Monthly / daily pages printed along with costs are presented as graphs. This can be used as an auditing tool to fix cost and benchmark for cost cutting plans. Knowing the device usage patterns will help service providers and supplies vendors plan for the future needs of the client.

In case of companies with branches Statistics is presented for the total group. Service and Purchase Chiefs in HQ can view centrally details of all branches.
